Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study was motivated by the finding that the creative thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 05 Bojongbata in the subject if flat shapes were still low, as indicated by the use of monotonnous problem-solving methods due to conventional teaching methods. In fact, creative thinking skills, which include fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, are important 21 st-century skills that must be developed. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Wizer.me media on improving students’ creative thinking skills. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design and a posttest-only control group design. The research population consisted of 89 fifth-grade students divided into three classes, namely class V A with conventional learning, class V B with the PBL model, and class V C with the PBL model assisted by Wizer.me. data were collected through descriptive tests and observation sheets that measured four indicators of creative thinking skills. The result of data analysis using a one-way ANOVA test showed a significance value (p<0.05), which mmeans that there was a significant difference between the three classes. The class that used the PBL model assisted by Wizer.me obtained the highest average score, indicating that the cobination of the PBL model and interactive digital media was effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Wizer.me media had a positive and significant effect on students’ creative thinking skills in learning mathematics on the subject of flat shapes.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh temuan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V SDN 05 Bojongbata pada materi kuas bangun datar masih rendah, yang ditandai dengan penggunaan metode penyelesaian masalah yang monoton akibat pembelajaran yang masih konvensional. Padahal, kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang mencangkup aspek fluency (kelancaran), flexibility (keluwesan), originality (keunikan), dan elaboration (perincian). Merupakan ketrampilan penting abad ke-21 yang harus dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantu Media Wizer.me terhadap Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu ( quasi experimen ) dan desain Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 89 siswa kelas V yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelas, yaitu kelas V A dengan pembelajaran konvensional, kelas V B dengan model PBL, dan kelas V C dengan model PBL berbantu Wizer.me. data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian dan lembar observasi yang mengukur empat indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji ANOVA satu arah menunjukkan nilai signifikasi (p <0,05) yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara tiga kelas. Kelas yang menggunakan model PBL berbantu Wizer.me memperoleh nilai rata0rata tertinggi, menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi model PBL dan media digitak interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu Media Wizer.me berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi luas bangun datar.
