The phenomenon of acculturation between Islamic culture and Banyuwangi customs, focusing on the Seblang ritual as a case study. Seblang ritual is a celebration that involves elements of traditional Banyuwangi beliefs with Islamic values. The main purpose of this research is to understand the dynamics of interaction between Islamic culture and Banyuwangi customs in the context of the Seblang ritual, as well as its implications for cultural identity and diversity in the region. The method used is the literature study method, which takes source material from several journals. The result shows that Seblang ritual is a concrete form of cultural acculturation that displays complex adaptation and interaction between Islamic elements and local customs. In this context, the Seblang ritual is not only a place to maintain local cultural identity, but also an arena for social and cultural dynamics that reflect tolerance, pluralism and innovation. This research contributes to further understanding of the process of cultural acculturation in Indonesia, as well as the importance of maintaining and promoting harmony between traditional and religious values in a multicultural society.
