Abstract

The role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping student character is very important in forming a generation with noble and integrated morals. PAI teachers have a big responsibility to not only convey religious knowledge but also instill strong moral and ethical values in students. This article aims to analyze the role of PAI teachers in shaping student character in the school environment. This article reviews various methods and strategies that PAI teachers can use, such as lecture methods, discussions, active learning, and character-based assessment. In addition, the challenges faced in this process, including cultural influences, resource limitations, and teacher motivation and competence, are also discussed. Practical solutions to overcome these challenges are suggested to increase the effectiveness of the PAI teacher's role in shaping student character.
