Maslahah mursalah : konsep hak dan kewajiban suami istri terhadap keharmonisan rumah tangga
Abstract
Perfect is the right word to describe Islam; every human behavior and action has its guidance in Islam, especially for Muslims themselves. We can all understand that forming a family is not easy; it requires both spiritual and physical maturity. This is why Islam pays crucial attention to the concept of family. This can be found in various verses of the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad regarding the Islamic concept of family. Many scholars have written extensively about family concepts in Islam. The concept of the rights and obligations of husbands and wives in Islam is profound and detailed, with the primary goal of building a harmonious and happy household. A husband is obligated to provide for, protect, and love his wife. In the Quran, it is mentioned that the husband is the leader of the family responsible for the welfare of all family members. On the other hand, a wife has the right to be treated fairly, respected, and provided with a decent livelihood. Additionally, a wife has the obligation to support her husband and maintain the household's unity. This equality in responsibilities and rights creates an essential balance in an Islamic household. Both parties must cooperate, respect each other, and understand their respective roles to achieve common goals. Harmony in the household in Islam is achieved through good communication, mutual understanding, and sincere affection. By following the guidance provided by the Quran and Sunnah, husbands and wives can build a strong and harmonious family that is happy not only in this world but also in the hereafter.
