Abstract

This article discusses the role of Pondok Pesantren Lubbul Labib in Dusun Lebak, Probolinggo, as a social change agent and center for Islamic education. Since the arrival of Mbah Kyai Dahlan, this pesantren has significantly contributed to shaping the character and behavior of the local community, which once faced social issues. Through an inclusive educational approach, Lubbul Labib not only teaches religious knowledge but also instills social and moral values. The success of this pesantren is influenced by government support in equating pesantren education with formal education systems, enabling it to continue developing and being respected in its community. In conclusion, Pondok Pesantren Lubbul Labib plays a crucial role in shaping Islamic civilization in the archipelago and preserving Islamic values in society.
