Antara kebebasan dan tanggung jawab: kesehatan mental di era perkuliahan
Abstract
University life is an important phase in a person's life, but it often becomes a source of pressure that can affect mental health. With increasing academic demands, students are frequently faced with the dilemma of pursuing personal freedom while meeting academic and social obligations. Research shows that excessive freedom, without an accompanying awareness of responsibility, can lead to stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Through a qualitative approach, this article explores students' experiences in balancing freedom and responsibility, as well as the impact on their mental health. It is found that social support, good time management, and awareness of personal limits are key factors in maintaining mental well-being. This article aims to provide insights for educators and policymakers in creating an academic environment that supports students' mental health. The university period is a transitional phase that requires students to balance newfound freedom with increasing responsibilities. This article explores the dynamics between freedom and responsibility in the context of students' mental health. With rising academic, social, and financial demands, students often experience pressure that can negatively impact their mental well-being. This study will discuss various factors influencing students' mental health, such as academic pressure, social isolation, and financial issues. Additionally, the article will present strategies that can be implemented by students, educational institutions, and society at large to support students' mental health.
