Akulturasi Budaya Arab dalam Kehidupan Sosial dan Budaya Masyarakat Indonesia
Abstract
The acculturation of Arab culture has been going on for a long time and has had a significant influence on the social and cultural life of Indonesian society, especially in the context of religion, language, and tradition. This study aims to analyze the process of acculturation of Arab culture in Indonesia and its impact on various aspects of life. Through a qualitative approach, this study explores how Arab culture, through the spread of Islam, trade, and migration, has blended with local Indonesian culture, creating adaptations and changes in people's daily lives. The results of the study show that Arab culture influences the practice of Islam in Indonesia, with adaptations in the way of worship, religious education, and religious celebrations. Arabic also plays an important role in religious and social communication, while its influence is also seen in art and traditions, such as calligraphy, music, and cultural festivals. This acculturation creates a new, rich and unique cultural identity, combining Islamic values with Indonesian culture. This study concludes that the acculturation of Arab culture in Indonesia has formed a social and cultural order that is heavily influenced by Islamic values and Arab traditions. This shows the importance of further understanding how intercultural interactions shape a more diverse Indonesian culture.
