Artificial Intelligence (AI) has a strategic role in reforming the national legal system in the digital era. AI technology contributes to increasing efficiency, transparency and accuracy in legal processes including decision making, analysis of legal data and providing more equitable access to justice. The aim of writing this scientific article is to examine the influence of AI on national legal reform with a focus on challenges, opportunities and its impact on legal development in Indonesia. This research uses a literature review method by analyzing various literature from journals, books, policy reports and other relevant sources. The results of the study show that the application of AI in the national legal system can accelerate the transformation of the justice system to become more modern and responsive to society’s needs. However, there are challenges that need to be overcome such as the risk of algorithm bias, privacy protection, and inadequate regulation. So by optimizing the use of AI in accordance with the principles of justice and law, this technology is believed to be able to support the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045 by creating an efficient and just legal system.
