Trauma Lintas Generasi Ditinjau dari Teori Perubahan Sosial Ibnu Khaldun: Studi Kasus Generasi Millenial-Gen Z
Abstract
This article discusses intergenerational trauma, also known as cross-generational trauma, that occurs in Millennials and Generation Z, taking into account Ibn Khaldun's theory of social change. The psychological impact that is passed down between generations is called cross-generational trauma. It is examined in the context of specific challenges faced by these two generations, such as technological advances, environmental crises and global pandemics. Ibn Khaldun's theory of the cycle of social change, consisting of formation, triumph and decline, is used to analyze how intergenerational trauma affects the cycle and how both generations respond to global challenges. The purpose of this research is to find out how Millennials and Generation Z can use this trauma as an opportunity to build a more adaptive and inclusive civilization and contribute to the development of social policies that are more sensitive to the generational dynamics that occur in Indonesia.
