Peran Orangtua dalam Mendukung Perkembangan Anak: Studi Kasus Program Parenting pada KKN
Abstract
The role of parents in supporting children's development has a significant influence on the formation of children's character and future. However, in Wonosari Hamlet, it was found that many parents did not understand the importance of active involvement in child care. The Parenting Socialization Program implemented by the KKN 82 UIN Malang team aims to increase parents' understanding of appropriate parenting patterns to support holistic child development. The methods used in this program include observation, socialization and interactive discussions with expert speakers in the field of family education. The results of the activities show that this program has succeeded in increasing parents' awareness of the importance of attention, affection and learning stimulation appropriate to the child's age. Participants gain an understanding of effective parenting strategies and how to avoid inappropriate parenting patterns. The conclusion of this research confirms that parenting education is an effective strategy in helping parents understand their role as primary educators for children. This program has a positive impact in creating a conducive parenting environment, which will ultimately contribute to building a quality next generation. Therefore, the implementation of sustainable parenting programs needs to be supported in order to improve the quality of parenting in society.
