Otonomi Daerah Sebagai Pendorong Peningkatan Pelayanan Public Di Era Disentralisasi.
Abstract
Regional autonomy in Indonesia has developed from the colonial era to the reform period, with the main aim of increasing the independence of regional governments in managing local affairs. This concept became known through the Wet Centralization policy in 1903, which transferred some power from the central government to the regions. The 1998 reforms brought major changes, giving local governments more authority in the political, economic, social and cultural fields, thereby increasing the efficiency and responsiveness of public services. Public services, which aim to meet community needs, must be implemented properly through a coordinated framework, meeting standards of openness and accountability. Utilization of technology such as Geographic Information Systems and e-government platforms is key in improving the quality and effectiveness of services. In this way, regional autonomy is expected to create equitable and inclusive development, although challenges such as development inequality and the potential for corruption still have to be overcome.
