Analisis fonologi pada lagu “rahman ya rahman” (mishary rashid): peran tekanan dan intonasi terhadap persepsi pendengar
Abstract
This study explores the phonological analysis of the song Rahman Ya Rahman by Mishary Rashid, focusing on the role of stress (nabr) and intonation (at-tanghim) in shaping listeners’ perceptions. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research examines phonological patterns in the song's lyrics and interviews respondents to uncover the emotional and spiritual impacts of these elements. The findings reveal that stress and intonation are crucial in conveying the song's lyrical meaning, creating a calming atmosphere in the intro and evoking profound emotional intensity in the refrain. Stress patterns predominantly occur at the end of syllables, with notable variations in imperative forms . Intonation ranges from gentle rising and falling tones to high-pitched patterns emphasizing emotional intensity. Respondents who understood the lyrics reported a deeper spiritual experience, while those who did not still felt a sense of peace through the melody and rhythm. This study contributes to phonological studies in music by linking linguistic elements to emotional and spiritual experiences, particularly in Arabic religious music.
