At this stage, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah children have entered the stage of learning to interact socially between fellow themes and teachers at school. Lev Semenovich Vygotsky is a scholar from Russia, he studied at Maskos University where he studied philosophy and law, but his interest turned to the field of Psychology. Lev Semenovich Vygotsky has a concept that is used in the development of educational psychology. Zone of Proximal Development is the main concept used by Vygotsky in the process of developing children's educational psychology. ZPD is a learning capacity in the form of assistance from a more expert or mature person, in the learning process this approach is also called scaffolding. Scaffoldig is periodic assistance provided to learners through teachers or more expert peers so that learners can develop their skills, after learners achieve these goals assistance from peers and teachers will be reduced little by little so that learners can learn more independently. The author conducts research using literature review, where the author looks for sources related to the implementation of Vygotsky's theory, namely the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) which will be applied in learning the Qur'an in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah educational institutions. The application of ZDP in the learning stage can be in the form of assistance from the teacher gradually starting from simple learning to complex learning.
