Penguatan Identitas Nasional Melalui Kearifan Lokal dan Pancasila

Abstract

This article aims to examine and explain the national identity of Indonesian citizens, as well as provide a deeper understanding of the concept. Indonesia's national identity is shaped by various elements, including Pancasila values which play an important role in the framework of this identity. We divide the discussion of these elements of national identity into three parts. Local policies, as a result of interaction in cultural communities, as well as Pancasila as the basis of the state, have a strategic role in strengthening national identity. In this article, we will discuss how local wisdom and the integration of Pancasila values can be applied in society, the nation, and the life of the state. Through a qualitative approach, this study shows that the preservation of local culture and practices can be more actively realized in the values of Pancasila, which is an important foundation for the formation of Indonesian national identity. Strengthening national identity will be more effective if it is implemented consistently by all elements of society. By understanding the values of Pancasila from a local perspective, it is hoped that it can strengthen national identity through multicultural education rooted in local wisdom. The ultimate goal is to create citizens who have a multicultural citizenship awareness, respect human equality and dignity, and recognize and maintain community values.
