Peran Strategis Generasi Muda dalam Mempertahankan Identitas Nasional di Era Globalisasi
Abstract
National identity is the main pillar in maintaining the integrity of the nation, especially in the midst of globalization. The younger generation, born and raised in the digital era, has an important role in preserving and strengthening the identity of the Indonesian nation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to analyze the role of the younger generation in maintaining national identity amid the influence of foreign cultures and rapid technological advances. Data was obtained from various literature sources such as scientific journals, books, articles, and previous research reports. It was found that the younger generation faces challenges such as waning nationalism values, the influx of foreign cultures, increasing individualism, and dependence on technology. However, there are still supporting factors such as the spirit of nationalism, civic education, and the utilization of social media to spread local culture. The younger generation shows great potential as agents of change by combining traditional and modern values through digital approaches. Therefore, education and collaboration strategies that are relevant to the times are needed to foster a sense of nationalism and love for the country in a sustainable manner. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between educational institutions, government, and society in equipping the younger generation to remain proud of national identity, while being able to compete at the global level.
