Risks in Islamic banks arise due to the possibility of violations of legal provisions and sharia principles, such as the prohibition of usury, maisir, gharar, things that are forbidden, and acts of injustice. This study aims to examine and identify the forms of risk faced by Islamic banks, especially those related to compliance with sharia principles and banking regulations, as well as the risk management strategies applied. This study uses a qualitative approach through literature studies. The results of the study indicate that Islamic banks are able to face quite complex challenges. Therefore, the implementation of effective risk management is the main key to maintaining customer trust and the continuity of bank operations.
