Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of credit risk management in hybrid contract-based financing products in Islamic banking. The rapid growth of the Islamic banking industry is driven by increasing public awareness of Islamic economics and government support in building an inclusive financial system. Hybrid contracts, which combine various types of contracts such as sale and purchase, leases, and loans, offer flexible but complex financial solutions, thus creating challenges in credit risk management. With a qualitative descriptive approach through literature studies, this study found that financial literacy, human resource quality, and strategies such as customer eligibility analysis, sharia compliance, and use of collateral are very important in mitigating credit risk. Highly effective credit risk management is needed to maintain the stability and sustainability of Islamic banking, while protecting the interests of banks and customers.
