Abstract

The growth of the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia requires effective operational risk management to maintain stability and customer trust. Operational risks can arise from various factors, such as system errors, human resource negligence, and external disturbances. One important factor that influences the effectiveness of operational risk management is organizational culture. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on operational risk management in Islamic banks. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach, through analysis of various journals and reliable sources. The results of the study indicate that a strong organizational culture based on Islamic values, such as trustworthiness, integrity, and collaboration, plays a crucial role in shaping employees' risk-aware behavior. Organizational culture also contributes to creating a work environment that supports open communication, effective oversight, and compliance with Islamic principles. The implementation of an organizational culture aligned with Islamic principles can enhance the overall performance of the operational risk management system in Islamic banks.
