Identitas nasional dalam pusaran dunia globalisasi
Antara ancaman dan peluang
Abstract
With the largest multicultural population in the world, Indonesia faces challenges or threats in preserving its national identity amid the current of globalization. Digital media has shifted the younger generation’s interest away from local culture due to the influence of foreign cultures, leading to cultural homogenization and intergenerational gaps. However, globalization also offers opportunities to strengthen national identity through the revitalization of local culture, character education based on Pancasila, and the use of digital technology to promote culture. This study analyzes the issues and strategies for strengthening national identity through a literature review. Cross-sector collaboration including government, education, and the creative industry is needed to preserve, develop, and market local culture as the foundation of national identity and a potential of the creative economy. Through this approach, Indonesia's national identity can remain strong and gain global recognition.
