Teosofi akhlaqi; tokoh dan pemikirannya (hasan al-basry,al-muhasiby,al-qusyairy,dan al-ghazaly)
Abstract
This paper examines the concept of akhlaqi theosophy, or ethical philosophy in Sufism, by analyzing the thoughts of four key classical Islamic mystics: Hasan al-Basri, al-Muhasibi, al-Qushayri, and al-Ghazali. Each of these thinkers played a vital role in developing the principles of spiritual ethics, focusing on soul purification (tazkiyat an-nafs), control of the ego, and full devotion to God. The study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach through a literature review of their works. The findings reveal that although their methods vary, they all agree that moral conduct is the foundation of Sufi practice and a pathway to divine closeness. This research highlights how the ethical teachings of Sufism offer a meaningful spiritual response to the moral challenges of contemporary life.
