AI dalam pendidikan
Membuka peluang atau menghambat kreativitas mahasiswa?
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of the world of education, especially in supporting the learning process of students. This article examines the role of AI in opening up opportunities and challenges for student creativity. AI provides easy access to information, personalized learning, and various tools such as virtual mentors and voice assistants that can accelerate the completion of final assignments and encourage innovation in students creative ideas. Thus, AI has the potential to increase the productivity and quality of student learning outcomes. However, excessive use of AI also poses a risk of decreasing students critical thinking skills and creativity. Dependence on AI can make students less active in the process of exploring ideas and solving problems independently, so that their creativity has the potential to be hampered. This is an important concern so that AI does not replace the role of human thinking processes in learning. This study emphasizes that AI should be positioned as a supporting tool that enriches students creative processes, not as a substitute. The wise use of AI can broaden horizons, accelerate the search for ideas, and increase the variety of language styles and literacy, especially in the context of language learning and creative writing. The role of lecturers remains crucial to maintain a balance between technology and the development of students critical thinking skills. In addition, AI also contributes to facilitating collaboration and communication between students through AI-based applications that support project management and effective idea sharing. Thus, AI can be a catalyst in creating a more inclusive and innovative learning environment, as long as its use is regulated by appropriate policies.
