Global warming is a phenomenon of rising average temperatures on the earth's surface. The increase in the earth's surface temperature is due to an increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrogen (N2O) in the atmosphere. The journal discusses the main causes of global warming, which include the greenhouse effect, deforestation, agricultural activities, air pollution, wasteful energy consumption, as well as the use of private vehicles and materials containing CFCs. The impacts of global warming are widespread, including extreme climate change, sea level rise, declining agricultural yields, human health problems, and the threat of species extinction. As a mitigation effort, this journal provides various solutions to deal with the global warming problem by saving energy and water, greening, using alternative energy, and reducing the use of materials that damage the environment. The active role of the community is needed to implement these solutions in a sustainable manner. With a deep understanding and concrete actions, the problem of global warming can be suppressed and the quality of life of future generations can be maintained.
