Pengaruh Penerapan Sistem Penilaian Kinerja Guru Terhadap Motivasi Dan Kepuasan Kerja
Abstract
The implementation of a teacher performance appraisal system has a significant impact on teacher motivation and job satisfaction. A transparent, fair and achievement-based system can increase teachers' intrinsic motivation, encouraging them to perform better and continuously improve in their teaching. In addition, appraisals that provide constructive feedback and fair rewards can strengthen job satisfaction, which in turn improves teaching quality and teacher productivity. However, the application of unclear or unfair systems can decrease motivation and job satisfaction, creating a feeling of injustice that is detrimental to teacher performance. Motivation and job satisfaction are closely related and influence each other. Therefore, an objective, self-development-based appraisal system is essential to improving both. Although the implementation of appraisal systems in Indonesia faces challenges such as unclear standards and lack of feedback from students and peers, this study provides recommendations to develop clear and standardized appraisal guidelines, increase student and peer engagement, provide constructive feedback, and adopt a continuous appraisal system. By implementing these recommendations, the teacher performance appraisal system is expected to be more effective in increasing motivation and job satisfaction, which in turn contributes to improving the quality of education in Indonesia.
