Metode Role Play dalam Pembelajaran ppkn di Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the role play method in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in elementary schools. Through a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews with six students from various grade levels and one PPKn teacher at MI Zainul Anwar Probolinggo. The results of the interviews showed that the majority of students preferred interactive and fun learning such as role-playing, watching videos, and discussing. Teachers also recognized the importance of a student-centered approach in teaching Pancasila values. Based on field findings and literature reviews, the role play method is considered capable of improving cognitive understanding and shaping students' character through direct experience. Despite challenges such as time constraints, teacher readiness, and student self-confidence, this method is still considered relevant and in accordance with the spirit of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study recommends the use of role play as one of the active learning strategies that can create a more contextual, participatory, and meaningful learning atmosphere in PPKn classes.
