Tantangan Akuisisi Nasabah Di Wilayah Barat Sungai Brantas: Studi Kasus BSI KCP Kediri Bandar
Abstract
This study examines the challenges of customer acquisition at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Kediri Bandar following its relocation to the western area of the Brantas River. The relocation created new opportunities, as the branch became the only BSI office physically present in the region, but it also posed significant challenges in expanding the customer base. Despite an average of 20 new account openings per month, most customers served are still existing clients from the previous location. The main challenges include low public literacy regarding Islamic banking products, the dominance of administrative transactions over new customer acquisition, and the need for more targeted marketing strategies. To address these issues, BSI KCP Kediri Bandar developed strategies through direct education, collaboration with local communities, and the use of digital media. The findings highlight the importance of combining social approaches, financial literacy programs, and adaptive marketing to strengthen BSI’s position in the new area, while opening long-term opportunities for the growth of Islamic banking in Kediri.
