Abstract

Implicature is something that is implied in a conversation, which is something that is left implicit in the actual use of language. Implicature is divided into two types, namely conventional implicature and conversational or direct implicature. The song "Ana Bansa Nafsy" by Ramy Sabry has attracted the attention of listeners from various compositions, especially social media. The song, which was released in 2017, went viral in 2023. This song went viral on social media platforms, such as TikTok, with many users using this song as content. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of conventional implicature contained in the lyrics of the song "Ana Bansa Nafsy" and explain the implied meaning that is intended to be conveyed through the implicature in the lyrics of the song "Ana Bansa Nafsy". The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data is an excerpt of several lyrics of the song "Ana Bansa Nafsy". In this study, the methods used are the listening method, observation techniques, and note-taking techniques. The results of this study show that there are conventional implicatures in the song "Ana Bansa Nafsy", and the data collected are 3 from the song lyrics and the overall conventional implicature meaning of the song "Ana Bansa Nafsy".
