This study aims to analyze the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in primary schools as a strategy to improve educational quality. SBM represents a form of educational decentralization that grants greater authority to schools in managing resources independently, participatively, and accountably. The research method used is library research by reviewing various relevant sources such as scientific journals, theses, and previous studies. The findings indicate that the implementation of SBM in primary schools has had a positive impact on improving educational quality, particularly in terms of school autonomy, teacher professionalism, and community involvement. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including limited infrastructure, low community participation, and insufficient managerial capacity among school principals. To overcome these issues, comprehensive strategies are required, such as improving educators’ competencies, strengthening community participation, ensuring financial transparency, and developing a continuous evaluation system. By applying these strategies, SBM can optimally contribute to achieving high-quality and competitive primary education.
