Pencegahan stunting berbasis edukasi gizi dengan pendekatan inovatif di desa sumberdem
Abstract
Stunting is one of the urgent public health issues in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas with limited access to proper nutrition. The socialization conducted by the Student Community Service Group (KKM) of UIN Malang in Sumberdem Village, Wonosari District, Malang Regency, aims to raise awareness and knowledge among the community about stunting prevention through educational and innovative approaches. This program includes three main interventions: first, a simple experiment to demonstrate the antioxidant content in vegetables using a betadine reaction as a visual learning medium; second, the development of Supplementary Feeding (PMT) in the form of mung bean and corn pudding, which are rich in essential nutrients to support children's growth; third, education on infused water made from natural ingredients as an alternative healthy beverage to reduce the consumption of packaged drinks high in artificial sweeteners. The results of this program are expected to have a positive impact by promoting healthy eating habits, improving children's nutritional status, and sustainably reducing stunting prevalence.
