FDR BSI: Lebih dari sekadar rasio dalam mendorong inovasi keuangan syariah 2020–2024
Abstract
This study aims to describe the development of the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) during the 2020-2024 period and interpret how the ratio reflects intermediation effectiveness and Islamic financial innovation. The research uses secondary data obtained from BSI’s annual reports and official regulatory publications. The findings indicate that BSI’s FDR shows a gradual upward trend from around 74 percent in 2020 to 85 percent in 2024. This increase demonstrates the bank’s improved capacity to channel financing productively while maintaining sound liquidity. Furthermore, the trend also reflects BSI’s digital transformation, financing diversification, and innovation in Islamic financial services following the post-merger consolidation phase. Overall, the development of FDR during this period highlights strengthened intermediation, enhanced efficiency in fund distribution, and support for value-based economic growth. The results are expected to contribute to the literature on intermediation performance and Islamic financial innovation in Indonesia.
