Kinerja Return on Equity (ROE) Bank Muamalat Indonesia 2020-2024: Dampak Restrukturisasi, Efisiensi Operasional, dan Penguatan Permodalan
Abstract
This study analyses the Return on Equity (ROE) performance of Bank Muamalat Indonesia from 2020 to 2024 by examining profitability trends and the factors influencing capital productivity. The result show that ROE remained low throughtout the period, ranging from 0,23% to 0,52%, indicating limited efficiency in generating returns from shareholders’ equity. Fluctuations in ROE were primarily affected by post-restructuring adjusments, operational efficiency improvements, and gradual capital strengthening. Although financial recovery was observed after 2022, the overall ROE performance still reflects challenges in optimizing profitability. This study contributes to understanding the sustainability and competitiveness of Islamic banks in the context of capital management and operational restructuring.
