Dialektika sosial-politik dalam kitab tafsir Al-Iklil Fi Ma’ani At-Tanzil terkait peran dan kedudukan perempuan

Interpretations related to the role and position of women contained in the al-Iklil tafsir begin to touch on gender issues. One study categorizes this tafsir as a traditionalist Javanese tafsir closely linked to patriarchal culture. However, this study is not comprehensive because it overlooks the socio-political dialectic that occurred during the interpretation process. Referring to this issue, this study aims to analyze the dialectical process that occurred between the al-Iklil tafsir and the state ideology and policies regarding the role and position of women. The cultural enculturation approach was used to determine the dialectical process that occurred, which included three stages: socialization, assimilation, and integration. This study is positioned as a literature review with data sources in the form of interpretations of verses related to the role and position of women in the al-Iklil tafsir. The results of this study show that the interpretations related to the role and position of women contained in the al-Iklil tafsir reflect contextual interpretations that adhere closely to Islamic law. Although concurrent with the interpretation process, the state, with its doctrine, socialized various ideologies and policies to shape the attitudes and views of society regarding the role and position of women at that time.
