Abstract

Utilizing tofu wastewater as a raw material for organic compost is an innovative approach that provides both environmental and economic benefits. Wastewater, rich in organic matter, poses a risk of river pollution if discharged without proper treatment. Through composting processes, including eco-enzyme fermentation and mixing with solid organic materials, this waste can be transformed into organic fertilizer that enhances soil fertility and supports natural plant growth. Economically, the resulting compost can be marketed, creating business opportunities for household industries and community groups while promoting the concept of green entrepreneurship. Challenges include limited community knowledge, initial facility costs, and odor management. Recommended solutions involve technical training, environmental awareness programs, the application of appropriate technology, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders. This innovation demonstrates that converting tofu wastewater into organic compost effectively integrates environmental, social, and economic aspects in a sustainable manner.
