Motivation is an important factor that encourages employees to work better in achieving organizational goals. Employees with high motivation usually show more stable work enthusiasm, complete tasks on time, and demonstrate initiative in their responsibilities. This article discusses how motivation, both internal and external, can significantly improve employee performance. The method used is a literature review by examining recent studies and theories related to work motivation. The findings show that proper motivation through rewards, a supportive work environment, opportunities for self-development, and good leadership can improve productivity, work quality, and employee responsibility. Therefore, motivation becomes a highly influential element in creating optimal employee performance.
