Implementasi Teori Behaviorisme dalam program rehabilitasi sosial bagi remaja beresiko
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of behaviorist theory in social rehabilitation programs for at-risk adolescents. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach by examining behaviorist concepts, forms of juvenile delinquency, and relevant rehabilitation techniques. The results indicate that behaviorism views behavior as the result of interactions between stimulus and response that can be observed and modified through reinforcement and punishment. In the context of rehabilitation, the application of techniques such as reinforcement, punishment, shaping, and modeling has proven effective in reducing maladaptive behaviors and fostering positive habits among adolescents. Structured rehabilitation programs are able to improve discipline, motivation, and participants’ social skills. However, this approach needs to be combined with other psychological interventions to address individuals’ internal aspects. Therefore, the implementation of behaviorism significantly contributes to supporting recovery processes and social reintegration more effectively and sustainably. This study also emphasizes the importance of family support, environment, and government policies in the success of rehabilitation. A holistic approach integrating social, spiritual, and cultural aspects is essential to prevent recidivism and enhance adolescents’ quality of life after rehabilitation.
