Abstract

This article aims to outline the challenges faced by the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, an integral part of the primary vision and mission of President and Vice President Prabowo-Gibran. The approach used in this article is qualitative, with data sources derived from a literature review using descriptive-analytical methods. The Free Meals program has lofty goals, including improving the quality of Human Resources (HR) to realize a golden generation by 2045. Despite facing various obstacles, the program has been implemented effectively and targeted to groups truly in need. Of course, the debate on this matter has not yet reached a conclusion, especially since the Free Lunch issue is more related to adequate nutritional standards, rather than simply providing luxurious food for free.
