Manajemen waktu mahasiswa baru prodi manajemen uin malang: analisis tantangan, dampak, dan strategi pengembangan
Abstract
First-year students in the Management Study Program face significant academic transitions that require strong adaptation skills and effective time management. The shift from a structured school environment to an independent university learning model often leads to challenges such as accumulated assignments, difficulty prioritizing tasks, and increased psychological pressure. This study aims to analyze the challenges, impacts, and development strategies of time management among first-year Management students at UIN Malang. The analysis is conducted through a literature review based on studies from the UIN Malang Repository as well as national and international journals related to time management, academic adjustment, and student learning stress. The findings indicate that inadequate study planning, low self-regulation, and distractions from non-academic activities are the main barriers to effective time management. These issues negatively affect students’ motivation, increase stress levels, and contribute to unstable academic performance. Recommended strategies include creating flexible study schedules, applying task-priority methods, utilizing time-management applications, and conducting weekly evaluations to improve learning effectiveness. The results emphasize that time management is a foundational competence that must be developed from the first semester to support students’ long-term academic success.
