Peningkatan mutu pelayanan di apotek dengan pemberian informasi obat yang tepat
Abstract
Pharmacy services at pharmacies play a crucial role in ensuring safe and successful patient therapy. One of the core aspects of this service is the provision of accurate and comprehensive drug information, as required by official standards, namely Minister of Health Regulation No. 73 of 2016 concerning Standards for Pharmaceutical Services in Pharmacies. Despite these standards, many studies show that their implementation in the field has not been optimal, and this often affects patient satisfaction levels. This article presents a conceptual review to explore how the quality of pharmacy services can be improved, with a primary focus on the fulfillment of medication information provision standards by pharmacy staff. The method used is conceptual analysis through an in-depth review of three scientific works that examine patient satisfaction and the adequacy of pharmacy services. The core findings of this study indicate that the quality of pharmacy services, particularly in terms of drug information provision, has a significant impact on patient safety and satisfaction. Thus, the key to improving the quality of pharmaceutical services in pharmacies is to optimize the role of pharmacists in providing comprehensive drug information in accordance with applicable official guidelines.
