Humans are essentially social creatures who cannot live alone and always need the help of others in various aspects of life. Islam as a comprehensive religion regulates human relations with God, fellow human beings, and the surrounding environment, one of which is through the principle of cooperation in goodness known as ta'awun. This article aims to examine the concept of cooperation in goodness and piety from the perspective of the Qur'an, specifically the interpretation of QS. Al-Maidah verse 2. The method used is a literature review by analyzing the interpretation of the Qur'an from scholars such as Ibn Kathir, Al-Qurthubi, Al-Mawardi, and the contemporary interpretation of Al-Misbah. The results of the study show that Islam firmly commands its followers to help each other in virtue and piety and prohibits cooperation in sin and hostility. Cooperation in goodness encompasses all good deeds, both obligatory and recommended, and is an important foundation in building social solidarity, shared responsibility, and harmony in community life. By consistently applying the values of ta'awun, cooperation not only has social value, but also worship value that brings blessings and salvation in this world and the hereafter.
