Efektivitas Penyuluhan Perawatan Jenazah dan Pendampingan Posyandu dalam Penguatan Peran Sosial Masyarakat di Kelurahan Jodipan
Abstract
The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Mahasiswa/KKM) is an implementation of university community engagement aimed at enhancing community capacity and independence through participatory and educational approaches. This article discusses two KKM activities conducted in Jodipan Village, namely funeral care counseling as an effort to strengthen religious understanding and Posyandu assistance in supporting maternal and child health services. The funeral care counseling focused on improving community knowledge, particularly among Muslim women, regarding the implementation of fardhu kifayah through interactive lectures, discussions, and practical demonstrations. Meanwhile, Posyandu assistance aimed to strengthen community-based health services by supporting health cadres, monitoring child growth, and providing health education for mothers and children. The results indicate an increase in community knowledge, readiness, and participation, although the level of independence achieved remains at a developing stage. These activities serve as an important initial step in building community empowerment based on real needs and sustainable engagement.
