Pengaruh perkembangan teknologi digital di era modern terhadap kehidupan remaja
Abstract
The development of digital technology in the modern era has brought major changes to various aspects of life, including adolescent life. Adolescents, as individuals who are in the process of identity formation, are highly vulnerable to the influence of technology, both positively and negatively. This article aims to analyze the influence of digital technology development on adolescents’ lives, particularly in communication, education, social behavior, mental health, and identity formation. The method used in this article is a literature review by examining various theories of adolescent development and the influence of digital media in modern social life. The findings indicate that technology provides significant benefits, such as easier access to information, broader social connections, and support for learning processes. However, excessive use of technology may also cause negative impacts, including gadget addiction, reduced direct social interaction, decreased learning concentration, cyberbullying, and mental health problems. This article concludes that digital technology is not a threat if it is used wisely, purposefully, and under proper guidance. Therefore, the roles of parents, schools, and the social environment are essential in guiding adolescents to use technology in a healthy, productive, and responsible manner.
