This article examines parental strategies in the implementation of child custody (ḥaḍānah) within Islamic family law in the context of contemporary socio-religious life, particularly in multicultural societies. The study is motivated by the increasing complexity of child-rearing issues due to changing family structures, social dynamics, and modern challenges such as family conflict and value disruption. This research employs a qualitative approach based on library research, using a normative analysis of primary Islamic sources, namely the Qur’an and Hadith, supported by relevant contemporary scholarly literature. The data sources include Qur’anic verses related to parental responsibilities, Hadith on child care, and academic studies on Islamic family law and modern social dynamics. The findings reveal that the concept of ḥaḍānah in Islam emphasizes principles of shared parental responsibility, justice, compassion, and the best interests of the child, which are adaptable to social changes. These values are highly relevant in strengthening family resilience, maintaining social stability, and preventing conflict in diverse societies. This study contributes to enhancing the integration between Islamic normative values and contemporary social approaches, resulting in a more comprehensive and applicable understanding. Therefore, this research has significant implications for the development of Islamic family law theory, child-rearing practices, and socially responsive policy-making in modern contexts.Downloads
