Moderasi beragama: konstruksi pemikiran inklusif di lingkungan pendidikan islam tradisional

This study analyzes the construction of inclusive thought within pesantren amidst rising religious polarization in the digital era. Using a qualitative sociological approach and social construction theory, this research explores how moderation values are internalized by students (santri). Findings reveal that inclusive thinking is systematically built through the dialectics of kitab kuning (classical texts) literacy, which emphasizes the ethics of disagreement (ikhtilaf). This process is reinforced by the exemplary leadership (uswah hasanah) of the kyai, positioning the pesantren as a social laboratory for diversity. Despite the challenges of digital exclusivism, the pesantren's communal values provide an effective filter against radical ideologies. The study concludes that deep classical intellectual mastery serves as a vital foundation for moderate character formation. These findings suggest that formal education could adopt the pesantren's "dialogue space" model to foster inclusivity. Strengthening digital literacy remains essential to complement these traditional foundations.
