Analisis konseptual geopolitik dan geostrategi: dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi
Abstract
This study discusses geopolitics and geostrategy using a conceptual analysis approach in facing the challenges of globalization. Globalization has made relations between countries more open and interconnected, covering economic, political, and cultural aspects. This condition creates opportunities but also brings various challenges, such as global competition, interdependence among countries, and potential threats to national sovereignty. In addition, the development of technology and information has accelerated global interactions, which affects the patterns of international relations in a significant way. Through a conceptual approach, this study aims to explain how geopolitics, as a basis for understanding geographical conditions and a country’s power, can influence policy decisions. Meanwhile, geostrategy plays a role as the strategy used by a country to achieve its national interests in the midst of dynamic and uncertain global changes that continue to evolve over time. The results show that geopolitics and geostrategy are closely related and cannot be separated. Geopolitics becomes the foundation for understanding a country’s position and potential, while geostrategy serves as a way to utilize that potential effectively and sustainably for long-term national goals. In the context of globalization, both are important for countries to survive, compete, and maintain national stability in an increasingly complex global environment. A good understanding of these concepts can support better and more adaptive policymaking.
