Strategi menjaga moralitas dan prestasi santri di era digital

The development of digital technology poses serious challenges to the morality and character of Islamic boarding school students, marked by an increased risk of negative behaviors such as cyberbullying and a decline in manners. This study aims to examine the strategies of Islamic educational institutions, particularly Islamic boarding schools, in maintaining morality and academic achievement amid the rapid pace of digitalization. The findings indicate that the primary strategy lies in the leadership and exemplary conduct of the kiai, who serve as moral authorities in guiding the wise use of digital media. Additionally, pesantren adapt by integrating technology into character education to create interactive and innovative learning experiences. The success of character development is also supported by strong synergy between the pesantren and families as guardians of morality who maintain a balance between traditional values and modernization. Through a comprehensive approach that includes supervision, digital ethics education, and the internalization of hadith values, pesantren will be able to produce students who remain principled and are ready to compete in the digital age.
