Curriculum reform to foster a generation of high-achieving, globally competitive students

The digital era has brought fundamental changes to the world of education, demanding curriculum reconstruction that is adaptive and responsive to technological developments and global dynamics. This article aims to examine curriculum reconstruction strategies in the digital era and their implications for global competitiveness, with a focus on developing a superior, character-based, and competent generation in the 21st century. Through a literature review approach, the discussion covers three main aspects: the urgency of curriculum reconstruction in the digital era, its implementation strategies in developing a superior generation, and its implications for global competitiveness. The results of the study indicate that curriculum reconstruction that integrates digital literacy, project-based learning, character building, and improving the competence of educators is a strategic step that cannot be ignored. The success of curriculum reconstruction depends not only on policy changes but also on synergy between educational institutions, the government, the industrial world, and society as a whole. Thus, curriculum reconstruction is a fundamental long-term investment in realizing a quality and globally competitive education system.
