This article discusses human resource management as an effort to support the improvement of teacher performance in educational institutions. Teachers serve as the central element in the education system as they directly interact with students and determine the direction and quality of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, a well-planned and systematic management system for teaching staff is necessary to promote optimal educational quality. This article uses a literature study approach by referring to various scientific journals, reference books, and relevant research in the field of educational human resource management. The findings indicate that several variables influence teacher performance improvement, including planning for teaching staff needs, continuous competency development, work motivation, organizational communication patterns, performance evaluation systems, and the leadership style of school principals or madrasah heads. Ongoing training programs have been proven to encourage increased teacher professionalism in carrying out their duties. Therefore, effectively and efficiently managed human resources serve as an important foundation for the realization of professional teachers and quality education.
