First-year students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang face a dual-burden challenge due to the obligation of integrating formal academic demands with intensive boarding programs at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah. This condition requires specific proficiency as it is highly prone to triggering schedule conflicts, stress, and mental exhaustion if not appropriately managed. This article aims to explore the time management strategies of mahasantri using a descriptive qualitative approach through conceptual analysis and observation methods. The analytical framework is rigorously based on the Maqashid Sharia perspective. The research results reveal that the high density of activities empirically provides a positive influence of 24.5% on improving the students' time management skills. As an adaptive solution to the tight schedule, students implement strict prioritization strategies and the utilization of digital technology. This adaptive strategy manifests a balance in protecting religion (hifz al-din), intellect (hifz al-'aql), and soul (hifz al-nafs). In conclusion, time management at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah goes beyond mere technical productivity efficiency; rather, it is a theological manifestation that successfully shapes the identity of graduates with the Ulul Albab character. Disciplined time management also functions strategically in internalizing religious moderation values against radicalism.
