Hak asasi manusia: upaya mewujudkan kehidupan sosial yang adil
Abstract
Human Rights (HAM) are fundamental rights that every human being possesses from birth and cannot be taken away by anyone. Human Rights are a crucial part of life because they are related to human dignity. In social life, the implementation of human rights must be carried out to establish harmonious, safe, peaceful, and mutually respectful relationships between individuals and groups. Human Rights also serve as the foundation for realizing a just social life and eliminating discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, race, culture, and social status. This study aims to determine the importance of implementing human rights in social life and to undertake various efforts to realize a just and prosperous social life. The research method used is a literature study by collecting various sources from books, journals, scientific articles, and laws and regulations related to human rights. The data obtained are analyzed descriptively to understand the role of human rights in social life. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of human rights in social life can foster an attitude of tolerance, mutual respect, respect for freedom of expression, and create social justice. However, in social life, various forms of human rights violations are still quite common, such as discrimination, bullying, violence, sexual harassment, and restrictions on individual freedom. Therefore, education on human rights, public awareness, and the law must be enforced firmly so that human rights values can be implemented more optimally in the social life of society.
