Peran maqashid syariah dalam menjawab problematika sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat modern kontemporer

The development of digital technology, globalization, and modern economic systems has created increasingly complex social and economic problems within contemporary society. Phenomena such as financial technology (fintech), cryptocurrency, social media, and consumerist culture provide positive impacts while also generating challenges including moral crises, economic exploitation, and the decline of social and family harmony. This study aims to analyze the role of Maqashid Sharia in addressing modern social and economic issues. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through literature study. The findings indicate that Maqashid Sharia has strong relevance as a normative and ethical foundation in responding to contemporary developments. The concept of al-daruriyyat al-khams has undergone contextualization, including the protection of intellect through digital literacy, the protection of wealth in digital transactions, and the strengthening of family resilience in the modern era. Therefore, Maqashid Sharia can serve as a guideline in realizing public welfare and preventing social and economic harm in contemporary society.
