The concept of at-ta'awun is one of the important principles in Islam that emphasizes cooperation and helping in kindness and piety. This research aims to examine the concept of at-ta'awun in QS. Al-Ma'idah verse 2 through a thematic interpretation approach by analyzing the interpretation of several mufassir, namely Wahbah Al-Zuhaili in Tafsir al-Munir, Al-Wahidi in Tafsir al-Wasith, Al-Khatib in Tafsir Al-Qur'an Lil-Qur'an, and Sayyid Qutb in Fi Zhilal al-Qur'an. The research method used is library research by collecting data from various relevant literature, then analyzed descriptive-analytically. The results of the study show that the concept of at-ta'awun in QS. Al-Ma'idah verse 2 not only means sosial cooperation, but also becomes a sharia principle in building a harmonious, just society, and based on faith values. This verse commands Muslims to help each other in goodness (al-birr) and piety (al-taqwa), and forbids cooperation in sin (al-itsm) and enmity (al-'udwan). In addition, the mufassir emphasized that hatred against a race should not be an excuse to commit tyranny or go beyond the limit. Thus, the concept of at-ta'awun has an important relevance in the sosial life of modern society as a guideline in building solidarity, justice, and mutual benefit in accordance with Islamic teachings.
